HOW DO WE DO THE FILLER INJECTION?
After a thorough consultation with Puriva Doctor, then we are ready to do some injections, with the following steps:
- Doctor or Nurse is going to clean your skin from makeup, dust, or sunblock.
- If needed, numbing cream will be applied about 30 minutes before the procedure.
- We will put antiseptic before administering the injection (please let us know if you have any allergy to antiseptics or alcohol).
- If needed, the Doctor will put marking to pinpoint the injection site.
- The Nurse will then assist to put ice or to tap you lightly to reduce the sensation. Do not worry, it is not as painful as it looks. The pain scale is around 3 out of 10.
- Our Doctor will inject dermal filler according to the area of injection and massage the area.
- The Nurse will apply antibiotic creams.
- That’s it and we are done!
WHAT SHALL YOU EXPECT AFTER DERMAL FILLER INJECTION?
You can see the result right away with filler, yet swelling or bruising might happen, and this is normal. No need to worry as most of the swelling and bruising should recede in three to seven days. You can also put arnica cream to fasten the process, and makeup concealer can be used if you have a bit of bruising.
The filler usually takes 2 weeks to fully settle down and give a fully natural results.

WHAT TO DO OR NOT TO DO AFTER FILLER?
After injection we will ask you:
- Not to do strenuous exercise, swimming, or sun tanning for the first 24 hours after injection.
- Not to do facial or massage or laser treatment over the injected area for at least 2 weeks.
- For Lips filler, please avoid hot food and drinks (temperature-wise), kissing for the first 24 hours.
- That’s all, enjoy the result!
WHEN CAN YOU SEE THE RESULT AND HOW LONG IT LASTS?
Results of filler are quite instant though the best result can be seen in two weeks after injection as the filler has properly settled down. The longevity of filler is individualized ranging from one year to two years depending on the material of the injectable.
Some fillers like Juvederm (Oh yes, we love Juvederm!) Volift last for 1-1,5 years, Voluma 1,5-2 years.
