What is Nucleofill Treatment?

Nucleofill is the new generation of Polynucleotide derived from Salmon DNA to create bio-stimulation and bio-restructuring of the skin, to produce lifting effect, to protect and to improve the skin quality. This latest injectable treatment also has a moisturizing effect and radical scavenger that acts like an antioxidant for the skin. The most popular product that was derived from Salmon DNA is PN (Polynucleotide) with higher molecular weight and longer polymer molecules which is less likely to stimulate allergic reaction as compared to its predecessor the PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide).

Polynucleotide is optimal to rejuvenate the skin by hydrating effect – thanks to its ability to bind water and to keep it within skin tissue, and by providing long term antioxidant to the skin. It promotes skin stimulation and growth effect by increasing the metabolic activity of the fibroblasts – the major cells responsible for the production of the collagen, which will trigger a gym-like effect to the skin and facial muscles.

How do we do the Nucleofill Injection?

After a thorough consultation with Puriva Doctor, then we are ready to do some injections, with the following steps:

First, the Doctor or Nurse is going to clean your skin from makeup, sunblock and dust.
If needed, numbing cream will be applied about 30 minutes before the procedure.
We will put some antiseptic cream before administering the injection (please let us know if you have any allergy to antiseptic, alcohol, or salmon).
If needed, the Doctor will put marking to pinpoint the injection site.
The Nurse will then assist to put ice or to tap you lightly to reduce the sensation. Do not worry, it is not as painful as it looks. Pain scale is 3-5 out of 10.
Our Doctor will inject softly into the area of injection, massage the area and apply the antibiotic cream.
That’s it and we are done!

What shall you expect after Nucleofill Injection?

Expect delayed result with this treatment, depending on the type of Nucleofill injection used. With the Medium type, you will see multiple mini bumps similar to bee stings that usually last around 3 days, while with the Strong type, you will see bigger bumps on both sides of the face that usually last around 3-4 days. Some bruising might happen, and this is normal. No need to worry as most of the bumps and bruising shall recede in 4-7 days. You can put Arnica cream to fasten the process, and use makeup concealer when bruising happens.

The Nucleofill result is usually visible after 14 days (2 weeks) as you will feel tighter, healthier skin with more glow and reduce in pore size. To be effective, Nucleofill treatment is recommended to be repeated every 2-3 weeks for 4 times.

What to do or not to do after Nucleofill?

After injection we will ask you:

Not to do strenuous exercise, swimming, or sun tanning for the first 24 hours after injection.
Not to do facial or massage or laser treatment over the injected area for at least 2 weeks.
To take it easy if you see a lot of bumps when Nucleofill medium is used, as it has to be injected in the superficial layer to give a better result.

When can I see the result? For how long?

The result can be seen in two weeks after the injection. Longevity of this treatment is individualized ranging from 9 months to a year depending on the product and repetition.
