What areas can be treated with Profhilo?

The most common areas of treatment are the face and neck, however, it can also be applied on decolletage / cleavage / lower neck, chest, abdomen, hands, arms, knees, and feet.

How do we do the Profhilo injection?

After a thorough consultation with doctor at Puriva Aesthetic Clinic, then we are ready to do some injections, with the following steps:

The Doctor or Nurse is going to clean your skin from makeup, dust, or sunblock.
If needed, numbing cream will be applied about 30 minutes before the procedure.
We will put antiseptic before administering the injection (please let us know if you have any allergy to antiseptics or alcohol).
If needed, the Doctor will put markings to pinpoint the injection site: for the face, we use 5 aesthetic points per side of the lower face, as for the neck, we use 10 aesthetic points around it.
It is a fast and quick procedure, around 5 minutes of injection time.
The Nurse will then assist to put ice or to tap you lightly, to reduce the sensation. Do not worry, it is not as painful as it looks. The pain scale is around 3 out of 10.
When the Doctor injects the Profhilo at designated spots, it will cause a temporary skin bleb, which is normal as the layer of injection is in deep dermis.
The Nurse will apply antibiotic cream after.
That’s it and we are done!

What shall you expect after Profhilo injection?

Profhilo is injected just below the skin’s surface over 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart from each other. After the injection, it disperses quickly beneath the skin to improve hydration, without any need for a massage, or any risk of leaving lumps or nodules. The skin bleb usually lasts no more than 48 hours.

It brings about the glow to your skin, makes fine lines disappear and you will notice smoother, tighter skin within 2 weeks after the initial injection. What to do or not to do after Profhilo?

You can have Profhilo treatment and continue with your day-to-day activities. However, we do advise that you avoid wearing makeup, or touching your face after the treatment. This will help to reduce the risk of any potential infection.

After the Profhilo injection, it is recommended to avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours. Please also avert having another cosmetic procedure in the next 48 hours. It is not recommended to have a sauna or steam bath for the first few days either, and it is best to stay out of the sun if any bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.

When can you see the results and how long does it last?

While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 2 weeks after each treatment. After 8 weeks, your skin will appear more hydrated, healthy and youthful.
